| Bio: | Okay so what could you possibly need to know about me? My real name is Natalie but everyone calls me Nat-Pat, this is because of my father's evil workmates. The day i was born my dad's best friend put a big sign up in their workshop saying 'Big Dave's got a Nat Pat!' and the name stuck. I was born on the first of March 1985, in Bellshill Maternity Hospital, Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. When i was four we moved to Jubail in Saudi Arabia, where we stayed for six and a half years, right through the first Gulf War, we were advised to leave but the company my dad was working for wouldn't let him leave so my mum refused to go anywhere (one of her many Mrs. Weasley moments) and we stayed put. My little sister was even born in Saudi. I went to Jubail Academy for the whole of my time there. I made a lot of very wonderful friends during my time in Saudi and although i have unfortunately lost touch with most of them over the years, i still keep them very close to my heart. When we were done with Saudi we moved back to Scotland, although this time it was Overtown in Wishaw. We only stayed there for two years but eventually we abandoned Overtown in favour of the little village Minster on the Isle of Sheppey, in Kent, England. Where the family have been ever since (it's almost eight years now). I went to Highsted Grammar School for Girls while i was there . This is where i obtained (god only knows how!) 10 GCSE's, 3 A-levels and an A/S level. Post Highsted i decided to return to my homeland for university. I'm currently a very proud student of the Business School at the University of Paisley, where i'm studying Law. I'm a big family person and i visit home as often as uni and money permits. My mum is a Respite Foster Carer for Kent County Council, which means she looks after kids with disabilities for short periods of time. That can be anything from a couple of hours to a weekend. She's a top woman with a lot of love to give and she loves to fuss, a habit she inherited from her mother and which she has undoubtedly passed on to me. It is very scary to read some of the things that Mrs. Weasley says and does only to think OMG- I do that!. My Dad is a Maintenace Engineering Manager and is working from an office in Croydon, London. He's a pretty cool guy, he's into the same kind of music as me and counts Ozzy, Black Sabbath, The Who, Led Zepplin, and Foo Fighters amongst his favourite bands (something he has passed on to me). David Junior is considering taking up a career as a profession pain in the arse, typical teenage boy. He actually wants to be a mechanic (like father, like son) and has just finished sitting his GCSE's, i can honestly say i don't envy him one bit - i hated my GCSE exams. He has what i have affectionately started calling Charlie hair, it's that vivid ginger colour that the Weasley men have and short like i imagine Charlie's to be. My little sister Jo is getting ready for her move from middle school to high school, she is something really special. She has a chromosome disorder called Ring 22 Deletion Syndrome, it causes her various problems such as Global Development Delay, muscle weakness, bone problems and so on and so forth. She has it really hard but you could never tell, she's such a happy, friendly person. It's no overexaggeration to say that she's my hero. We also have a family dog, Tess, who is a seven year old golden labrador. She is a complete nutcase, she still bounds about like she's a puppy and i don't know where we'd be without her. In the new home i'm making for myself (the one in Paisley) i live with my friend Dawn who's doing a similar degree to me. We only have one pet at the minute a very excitable goldfish known only as Mr. Fish. We actually had three goldfish to start with but the first one (named Nemo) died during the first night and the second one (named Squirt) died the next day. We hadn't been able to think of an appropriate name for the third one and in the end we didn't want to name him in case it gave him a death sentence so now it's just Mr. Fish. I suppose i should tell you a little more about me, i have Ginny hair, that should tell you enough about my personality. I have inherited my father's taste in music, there is a definite rock theme, on top of the others i mentioned earlier i also like Franz Ferdinand (who i have actually met!), Kaiser Chief's, Snow Patrol and Keane. I like to watch CSI and it's off shoots, and have been known to have a BtVS obsession. I love movies, especially comedies - i love to laugh. I'll watch anything with Vin Diesel, Johnny Depp or Colin Farrell in it and the same goes for Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock. My other hobbies include reading books, not just HP, i'm a faithful reader of the Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella too. I've really got into reading and writing fanfic and am just over half way through posting my first fic, Harry Potter and the Girl Who Lived. I've penned the whole fic and am already about a third of the way in to the sequel, i've also got several one-shots floating around my laptop, waiting to see the light of day so i might get around to posting them. I'm not sure there is all that much else to know about me but feel free to ask questions! | |||||
